The Price Hillary Must Pay To Get The Votes Of Bernie Supporters

There are just some things that Hillary supporters just don't get. One of them is this: Hillary is going to swing back to the right for the general election.

When I say "back to the right", I don't mean swing to the center, which is typical for politicians coming out of primaries and going into the general election. That's just how it is, almost always, done. I really mean back to the right. That's because that's where she came from. Bill and Hillary are not Neolibs. They are Neocons. They are not really progressives in the general Democratic party sense. They were, and are, progressive for the red state of Arkansas, where Bill was Governor before he ran for the Oval Office. Hillary may only swing to the center in her rhetoric for the GE, but she will swing "back to the right" if she takes office. Neither of these things can be allowed to happen.

Dear Hillary supporters, you really need to think about this. Even if she only swings to the center, it's a terrible mistake. When you look at the general election polls that show, both, Bernie and Hillary beating the republican candidates (except for Hillary losing to Kasich, which is important to note), there's a reason for their wins. And a reason that Bernie wins bigger in those polls. It's the positions that they've taken in the Democratic primaries.

Now, we know that there's no chance in hell that Bernie is going to change his position on anything going into the GE. Take a minute to think about that. Let it sink in. Got it? Okay, here's the deal. People in this country are ready for progressive reform. There are really only two people talking reform in any major way. One is an ego maniacal looney toon named Drumpf. And the other is Bernie Sanders.

Even a fair share of Republicans are ready for progressive economic change. like a living wage, healthcare for all, and tuition free public higher education. And many of them don't really care all that much for the radical right wing's medieval social policies. And most Independents are certainly more progressive than the Republican base. And there's one other group that plays a big part in these polling scenarios; the youth voters. You may not have noticed, but I have that before Bernie, these young people were sporting Ron Paul bumper stickers on their cars and SUVs. These people are ready for something different. Bernie definitely offers that, and that is the reason why he outperforms Hillary in the general election polls. He takes more votes from these groups than Hillary ever will.

So, now for that price that Hillary, and her supporters, need pay for her election to the presidency. She absolutely MUST NOT swing, or even turn her gaze longingly, to the right from the positions that she has taken in the primaries, EVER. PERIOD. END OF STORY. If you want her elected, and then RE-elected, you must hold her feet to the flames on this. She may never go back to her true Neocon ways. If anything, she needs to be pushed into more progressive policies like a no ifs, ands, or buts ban on fracking, etc.. Bernie's supporters are going to need to hear this if you don't want those votes to drift elsewhere. You must convince these voters that they need to vote Democrat down ticket for a congress that can help her institute those policies. And, we are all going to have to unite to keep the pressure on for real positive change for this nation's future. Nothing less will do.
